How to become a Secondary School Teacher in Mauritius?

Is it possible to apply if i had only 4 credits for sc?

Hello. I work at Northfields (www.northfieldsonline.com)and we are looking for an IT teacher and a DT teacher, both separate posts and both full time. For these posts I can receive a CV and letter etc. Details will be posted on the website in due course. As Head of ICT I don't really want to be fielding other post enquiries!

For locals, morality certificates can be obtained at Piton police station which takes 3-4 weeks. For people recently coming from abroad, they will need an up to date document from their own country.

What are the qualification to register as teacher because I am a s.c and GCE A level holder. And after registration what I must do? Means should I start applying in private colleges or they will information me for the vacancies

To teach in secondary schools, you will need to have at least a bachelor's degree and obtain a teacher's licence from PSSA. The documents (original + copies) you'll need are:

1. Birth certificate
2. Marriage certificate (if applicable)
3. National Identity card
4. All educational certificates (SC, HSC, Degree)
5. 2 passport sized photos

A registration fee of Rs30 is also required.

You may also need a Certificate of Character which you can acquire from any police station.
