Can you give me more details about how to test skills for writing report in mauritius? How to do that here?
A freelance journalist is someone who does reporting but is not formally employed by a news/media company. You basically work on a contract/project basis.
Although there's no formal qualifications required to do freelance journalism, you will find that only those who are really talented in that field will actually find work and succeed.
While in our countries this type of job may work well, in Mauritius you're going to have a hard time making ends meet. It would be better if you join a company as a reporter than doing freelancing.
If you want to test your skills, then as an individual, you can write in newspaper voicing your opinions and if they're good enough, they will be published.
Check journalism.co.uk website as they have lots of information and you can also register yourself as a freelancer there.
