There are several sale points for the seeds around the island. See this link for address, contact details and prices. You can get a big packet of seeds (50g weight) for Rs115.50. The type of watermelon grown in Mauritius is called Sugar Baby.
Watermelons like the hot weather (2-3 months) and lots of water. For more information on how to plant them, refer to this page.
